The importance of writing a Will should not be understated, and certainly once married and with children should seriously be considered. Failure to do so and dying ‘intestate’ may unwittingly mean your estate is not left to those you would have wished, or even expected, to inherit.
Typically there are 3 ways to write your Will;
Using a SolicitorThis is traditionally the way most Wills have been written and is usually the most expensive option. It is sensible to use the services of a solicitor when you have a complicated estate or want specific advice that requires the services of a solicitor.
Using a Will WriterUnlike a solicitor, a Will Writer provides advice in relation to your Will and other linked areas. The cost of using a Will Writer tends to be cheaper than a solicitor.
Creating your own WillThe reason many people never get around to writing a Will is because they “never get round to making an appointment”. By creating your own Will you no longer have that excuse. As we have already explained it is vital that the majority of people have a Will and the writing of it can often be made simple.
